Valley Forge Soldiers' Hut and Bronze Tablet The inscription on the tablet reads as follows: The Hut nearby built according to Washington's Orders for the Construction of Huts for the Winter Camp of 1777-1778 stands on the site of a similar Hut which sheltered soldiers of the Pennsylvania Line and it commemorates their fortitude in the Endurance of every Adversity for their Country and for Independently. Constructed by The Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the Revolution June 18, A.D. 1935 This monument is located on the north side of Outer Line Drive, Valley Forge National Historical Park, between the Wayne's Woods picnic area and the Anthony Wayne equestrian statue. |
