President Lloyd Appoints Committee Chairs
At the Board of Managers meeting held May 14th, President Lloyd announced the appointment of several new committee chairmen.
Mr. Joseph Charles Byrne will chair the Independence Day Committee and will be responsible for handling all arrangements for the luncheon. The Society office staff has mailed out over 4,500 brochures for the Let Freedom Ring National Bell Ring-ing Ceremonies and will send all registered bell ringers their commemorative Honor Roll Certificate designating their participation in the 1998 national event.
Mr. Richard Leopold Walkup has been appointed to chair the American Heritage Committee and Jeffrey M. Groff will serve as chairman of the Special Projects Committee taking the reigns from James W. Marvin, Jr.
Mr. Anthony Morris, VII will chair the Washington's Birthday Party Committee and Mr. Harland Wetmore Johnson has accepted the position of Pennsylvania Society representative to the General Society.
Chairman of the Admissions Committee, Richard R. P. Di Stefano, reports that the following gentlemen have been elected to the Pennsylvania Society since the last Newsletter. He knows that Society members will warmly welcome its new members into the ranks and greet them at Society functions:
