Description: Chippendale side chair with shaped crest rail, pierced Gothic splat, slip seat, cabriole legs and carved claw and ball front feet. Has two pegs on rear legs where pierced by seat rails rather than through tenons. Inside of rear seat rail stamped "III". Seat upholstered in blue and white printed silk (now with small shreds due to age) with earlier upholstery intact beneath. Numbered L.77.3 on rear seat rail.
