Description: a) Wooden cylindrical rod with two-part brass cap, upper part has pivoting head (to receive equipment) which screws into lower part which is firmly affixed to wood. Rod has four bamboo-type turnings and pointed end. b) Metal chain in numerous 8" sections, each section with looped ends held together by metal rings; three decoratively shaped brass discs deliberately placed on chain, probably to mark specific distances along the chain.
