Description: a) Turned cylinder head with central and wide inset band of silver, fastened with a small silver cylinder to long tapered, turned handle with four incised lines marking the center of its length; disc tip. The silver on the head engraved "The Color Guard, Penna. S. R. / by the Mayor of Philadelphia / April 10th, 1931 / Made from the floor of Independence Hall / Removed during the Remodeling of the Hall" b) the striker may or may not have been made at the same time, a slightly domed, large disc with molded edge, the bottom covered in green felt.
