Chippendale side chair with shaped crest rail, pierced Gothic splat, slip seat, cabriole front legs and trifid feet, marked "V" on inside of rear seat rail. Chair has through tenons made up of multiple pieces of wood. This could be an example of Germanic wedged tenons, but finish irregularities around the tenons suggest the multiple pieces of wood now making up the tenons are the result of later repairs. Wide overhanging top of multiple boards rests on two bold molded supports
which enclose the sides of the case below, two long pegs on each side to
fasten the top into the case; case with one wide drawer on left and narrow
drawer on right, the left drawer with two, the right drawer with one bail-handled
brasses, the whole on turned legs with unusual pad feet on round pads.
