Description: a) Gold medal, consisting of gold horizontal pin affixed to the reverse of a striped moire ribbon with blue center and yellow-gold edges, gathered at the bottom to a loop from which hangs a silver medallion with blue and white enamel decoration on front and the letters "S" and "R" at the sides of the square and "Color" and "Guard" at the top and bottom of the square, the whole surrounding a raised central motif of a standing revolutionary solider. Engraved on the reverse "Donaldson Beale Cooper." b) stored in an unmarked flat cardboard box with gold bottom and blue lid, the lid with a handwritten label "Donaldsons" in blue ball-point pen ink above "Sons Rev/lution" (sic) in black fountain pen ink.
