Roll Service Record Search
Enter at least 2 characters of a text string that the system will use to search the Ancestors database. For example, to search for all revolutionary war ancestors who served as a Captain, you might enter capt into the search field. Then, click the Submit the Query button.
The service records are free form text fields, often described by the descendent themselves. The Registrar enters this information into the database and does try to standardize the descriptions. The table below provides a key to some of the abbreviations.
If you do not find the ancestor you are looking for using the fully spelled out word, try the abbreviation.
